CONSIDER HIM (a poem written by Naadia)

When the storm is raging

and the tempest rips the sky

When my eyes are flooded with tears

and all is dim

Oh, my soul, CONSIDER HIM!

When my plans are in the dust,

and my cherished hopes are crushed

When my goals come to naught

and I have given up every whim

Oh, my soul, CONSIDER HIM!

When with my dearest friends I part

and deep sorrow fills my heart

When my body aches

and pain racks every limb

Oh, my soul, CONSIDER HIM!

When I try to track my weary way

and fresh trials come with the day

When I’m not sure what to do

and faith and hope are dim

Oh, my soul, CONSIDER HIM!

In grey clouds or sunshine,

the dark night or the day that’s bright

In the evening’s shades

or the morning’s light

Whether my cup is empty

or flows over its brim

Oh, my soul, CONSIDER HIM!

So many of us Christians tend to pretend that everything is always hunky-dory, not being authentic about our situation. We need to share our struggles more with our Christian friends, so we can be prayed for, encouraged and also encoura…
